Client Partner – Defense & Critical Materials
Silicon is a U.S.-based sourcing company that helps large U.S. advanced manufacturers access rare earths, specialty metals, and advanced materials used in defense, aerospace, photonics, optics, semiconductor manufacturing, and energy technologies. The company coordinates sourcing, logistics, and delivery through a global network to support critical industries.
Location: United States (Remote)
Salary: $100,000–$200,000 base salary; 4% of gross margin on personal sales; total compensation expected to exceed $300,000–$400,000 for successful performers.
Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at defense contractors and advanced manufacturers
- Understand and document technical material requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact for client engagements
- Receive and manage client orders
- Develop opportunities that lead to repeat business
- Maintain an active pipeline of customer requirements
- Work with Silicon's sourcing team to locate suppliers
- Confirm specifications and compliance requirements
- Coordinate logistics and delivery
- Manage supply challenges and delivery issues
- Ensure successful order completion
- Maintain accountability from order through delivery
Requirements
- Experience working with defense, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing organizations in supply chain strategy or consulting
- Strong BD and problem solving skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving entrepreneurial company
- Management or supply chain consulting experience
- Defense contractor sales or program management experience
- Aerospace supply chain or procurement experience
- Specialty metals or materials trading experience
- Experience in the government defense ecosystem
