The role involves coordinating the workers' compensation program, including claims management, reporting, and communication with involved parties. It requires overseeing injury records, conducting ergonomic assessments, and supervising related staff.
Location: Remote
Responsibilities
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims and administration.
- Communicate with attorneys, employees, supervisors, physicians, and insurance carriers.
- Maintain injury records and manage databases like WCCMS and Risk Master.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and improve workplace safety.
- Prepare reports for safety committees and other projects.
- Process claims payments and invoices.
- Educate managers and employees about workers' compensation.
- Refer cases to medical case management.
- Supervise Benefits Specialist and work with third-party claims supervisor.
- Stay current with industry knowledge and legal requirements.
Requirements
- High School Graduate
Additional Information
- Part-time position.
- Requires knowledge of Kansas and Missouri compensation laws.
- Experience with WCCMS and Risk Master preferred.
- Strong computer, communication, and analytical skills.
