Tax Preparer

This role is with a well-established, stable and growing firm located in the Concord/Walnut Creek area, primarily remote but open to candidates in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area who can come into the office as needed. The focus is on assisting the accounting team with preparing complex Corporate and High Net Worth Individual tax returns. The firm promotes from within and offers manager level roles, with a preference for candidates interested in coaching, mentoring, and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist the accounting team with preparing complex Corporate and High Net Worth Individual tax returns.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of tax experience at a public accounting firm.
• Strong technical proficiency with the preparation of complex Business and High Net Worth Individual tax returns.
• Solid computer skills with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word & Outlook) and recognized complex tax accounting software (CCH ProSystem/Axcess or Lacerte).
• Proactive and quick learner.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Accounting or a related field (preferred).
• CPA or EA (preferred, but not required).
