Supervisor, Grants Compliance

The Grants Compliance Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of their team, providing leadership, training, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations in a university research administration setting.

Location: Remote (Ohio)

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and activities for the assigned team.
• Approve travel transactions and provide backup support for procurement/expense teams.
• Provide team leadership, training, supervision, and conduct performance reviews.
• Answer team member questions, assist with problems, oversee work quality and compliance.
• Coordinate cross-training, workload distribution, and backup with other team leads.
• Serve as subject matter and policy expert for team transactions.
• Advise faculty and staff on policy interpretation.
• Develop work guidelines and procedures, review work processes, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure team meets performance, quality, and compliance standards in accordance with university policies, laws, and sponsor requirements.
• Monitor team and individual performance, gather statistics, and report on productivity.
• Coordinate with other supervisors to align and implement best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent education and experience.
• 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with electronic research tools and financial management systems.
• Extensive experience in research administration in a university setting.
