Senior Financial Analyst, R&D Finance

Twilio is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for its R&D Finance team, focusing on cloud infrastructure costs within a remote, US-based role. The position involves strategic financial partnership, forecasting, and cost analysis in a fast-growing tech environment.

Location: Remote - US (not eligible in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA)

Salary: $96,640.00-$142,000.00 (depending on location)

Responsibilities

• Act as an autonomous finance partner to R&D, Product, and Engineering leadership.
• Partner across Accounting, Engineering, FP&A, and FinOps teams for accurate cost classification and process automation.
• Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting for R&D hosting infrastructure.
• Conduct variance analyses linking financial outcomes to usage changes.
• Identify cost-containment opportunities and partner with product managers.
• Build financial models for ROI and cost reduction analysis.
• Track and analyze vendor spend, cloud capacity, and budget consumption.
• Communicate complex financial and technical cloud cost structures to non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of finance experience in FP&A, operational finance, or strategic corporate finance roles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and deep-dive capabilities for technical issues and cloud data.
• Expertise in Excel/Google Sheets for complex financial modeling.
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical variances to non-financial audiences.
• Experience in process simplification and automation.
