Senior Account Executive (Japan Remote)

A results-oriented Account Executive focused on new business acquisition and strategic cross-sell within education and research institutions, responsible for creating opportunities, building relationships, and closing complex deals to impact academic and research integrity.

Location: Remote (Japan)

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth within K–12, Higher Education, or assessment markets.
  • Expand existing relationships through cross-sell opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Build lasting relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deliver consultative solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales teams.
  • Leverage data and insights to prioritize opportunities and optimize territory strategy.
  • Represent the brand through presentations, demos, pitches, social channels, and industry events.
  • Maintain accurate reporting in Salesforce and other systems.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, legislation, and territory-specific opportunities.
  • Travel up to 25% to engage with customers and nurture partnerships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying experience in Tech SaaS sales with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Proven ability to hunt, build, and close new business across complex buying committees.
  • Exceptional storytelling and consultative sales skills.
  • Deep understanding of institutional decision cycles and procurement processes.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com and other sales tools.
  • Self-starter with growth mindset, resilience, and collaborative spirit.
  • Native Japanese and Business English.
  • BA/BS degree required.
