The hospital safety officer is responsible for implementing and overseeing health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with external agencies to ensure a safe hospital environment.
Location: Luxembourg
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing measures for protection and prevention of occupational risks.
- Ensure safety and health at work.
- Organize and control compliance with legal and regulatory provisions.
- Evaluate the hospital's overall safety and health situation.
- Control work methods, analyze risks, and implement preventive measures.
- Conduct accident analyses and define key performance indicators.
- Participate in safety and health strategy development.
- Create, update, and communicate safety plans.
- Conduct internal safety training.
- Perform regular safety inspections.
- Manage safety records.
- Monitor performance indicators.
- Maintain relations with external authorities and organizations.
- Represent HRS in national working groups.
- Manage helicopter operations and ensure compliance.
- Replace safety officers as needed.
- Advise on safety projects and collaborate with technical and construction departments.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (Bac +5/6) in safety, civil engineering, or industrial engineering or a master's in risk management and occupational health.
- At least two years of professional experience in the field.
- Additional training as a designated employee (D2).
- Experience in healthcare or hospital sector is a plus.
- Good computer skills (MS Office, documentation tools, CAD).
- Good communication skills and strong sense of responsibility.
- Availability for training and continuous technical development.
- Deep knowledge of Luxembourg safety regulations (ITM, Labour Code, grand-ducal regulations).
- Initiative and teamworking skills.
- Languages: French, German, and Luxembourgish (minimum B2).
