They are seeking a Regional Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Specialist to support regulatory management and compliance in the microfinance sector.
Location: CEMAC (Central Africa) region, including Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and Republic of the Congo.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first line of contact and engagement with relevant regulators to manage and mitigate the impact of new regulations.
- Drive and support horizon scanning activities for regulatory changes.
- Support the Head of Regulator Affairs & Compliance and Regulatory Compliance Managers.
- Understand and monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Support structured assessments of regulatory compliance and risk exposure.
- Implement regulatory compliance governance framework, including training and awareness.
- Develop marketing materials, training programs, and internal presentations.
- Perform administrative duties related to regulatory compliance queries and reporting.
- Support the business in responding to queries from partners, financial institutions, or third parties.
- Facilitate go-to-market processes and respond to regulatory queries from local teams.
- Collaborate with internal assurance providers, including Internal Audit.
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in fintech environment, preferably in microfinance.
