Payroll Coordinator

The Payroll Coordinator supports all payroll functions, including data entry, compliance, reporting, and employee support, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.

Location: Nassau, Bahamas

Responsibilities

• Input and validate payroll on an accurate and timely basis, based on company policy and guidelines.
• Maintains payroll information through systems; and collecting, calculating, and entering data.
• Ensure systems are updated to reflect current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time.
• Prepare and maintain management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (e.g., gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, NIB deductions, benefit deductions).
• Assist with preparation of payroll-related reports and determine payroll liabilities by calculating NIB deductions, insurance deductions, and submission of worker’s compensation payments.
• Follow corporate protocols for period/year-end payroll processing.
• Maintain payroll guidelines by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local legal requirements and advise management on actions needed.
• Assist in administering Paid Time Off policies, including employee time off accruals.
• Assist in managing the timekeeping program, including user maintenance, technical support, and problem solving.
• Administer payroll compensation or incentive programs as required.
• Assist employees and managers with payroll-related questions.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience.
• Previous experience in ISL Payroll Software a plus.
• Knowledge of local employment law a plus.
