The role of National Account Manager for Amazon involves managing and growing the Amazon business for a smart-home and lighting product portfolio, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a competitive retail environment.

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 + Incentive Plan
Responsibilities
- Lead the Amazon business (1P, 3P, and direct fulfillment) with full P&L responsibility.
- Build annual and quarterly business plans aligned with GE Lighting’s innovation roadmap, category trends, and Amazon’s growth levers.
- Develop strong relationships with Amazon Vendor Managers, Amazon Ads POC and agency partners.
- Deliver revenue, margin, and contribution goals through disciplined pricing, promotional planning, and trade spend management.
- Manage operational health: chargebacks, shortages, OTIF, fill rate, and inventory forecasting to ensure consistent availability.
- Optimize COOP, MDF, and advertising investments to maximize profitability and category share.
- Ensure best‑in‑class product detail pages by working cross-functionally with Marketing and Creative teams.
- Oversee catalog integrity, ASIN creation, variation structure, and suppression resolution.
- Build and manage Amazon Advertising strategies (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, DSP) to drive efficient growth and protect brand positioning.
- Partner cross-functionally to align campaigns with new product launches and brand initiatives.
- Use Amazon Retail Analytics, Brand Analytics, and internal dashboards to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across lighting and smart‑home categories.
- Conduct weekly and monthly business reviews with internal stakeholders and Amazon teams.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for assortment, pricing, supply chain, and marketing.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and finance teams to support new product introductions, demand planning, and promotional execution.
- Advocate for eCommerce best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 1+ years of Amazon account management experience.
- 3+ years of account management experience in the consumer electronics, smart‑home, or CPG industries.
- Deep understanding of Vendor Central and/or Seller Central.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Amazon data tools, and performance dashboards.
- Proven track record of driving profitable growth in a fast‑paced, highly competitive environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and operate with an ownership mindset.
