Investment Analyst / Investor

16VC is an early-stage venture capital firm investing in AI, SaaS, fintech, deep tech, and emerging technologies globally. They are building their investment platform and seeking an Investor to establish sourcing, research, diligence, and investment processes.

Location: United States

Salary: $80K–$180K/yr

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with founders, operators, investors, accelerators, and startup communities globally.
• Source high-quality startup investment opportunities.
• Develop and manage outbound sourcing strategies.
• Represent 16VC within startup ecosystems and industry events.
• Research emerging industries, technology trends, and investment opportunities.
• Develop investment theses across priority sectors.
• Evaluate startups, founders, products, markets, and business models.
• Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis.
• Prepare investment memos and recommendations.
• Help establish and refine 16VC's investment processes.
• Build sourcing, diligence, and pipeline management frameworks.
• Contribute to fellowship and founder engagement initiatives.
• Work closely with the leadership team to shape the firm's long-term investment strategy.

Requirements

• 2+ years of venture capital experience.
• Experience working with an institutional VC fund, accelerator, family office, angel network, or investment platform.
• Strong understanding of startup ecosystems and venture investing.
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong network-building and relationship-management abilities.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
