Freelance Subtitling Translator/QCer For Japanese Into English

Pixelogic Media, a global provider of content localization and distribution services for the media and entertainment industry, is seeking experienced Japanese into English subtitling translators and QCers to support increased demand in the APAC region. The role involves creating, proofreading, and QC of subtitle files, ensuring adherence to client style guides and confidentiality.

Location: Japan

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of subtitle file creation, including Conforming, Timing and Spotting, Translating or Proofreading/QC’ing of subtitle files using Pixelogic proprietary cloud based subtitling software
• Leverage in-house glossary tool for consistency across products as well as follow client style guide specifications
• Handle rejections/make corrections in files
• Remain current with industry trends, and adapt to evolving client requirements
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive content.

Requirements

• Japanese/English bilingual
• Minimum of 2 years of translation and/or proofreading experience required
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Must have demonstrated ability to accomplish work on a rigorous schedule (on-time delivery and flexible working hours)
• Ability to follow technical / style guide for multiple client content types
