The Director of Site Management and Monitoring (DSMM) supports Pfizer Oncology by overseeing site start-up, management, and monitoring activities in the US, ensuring study milestones are met and fostering strategic initiatives within the clinical development environment.
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: $176,600.00 to $294,300.00 annually, plus bonus and long-term incentives
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach resources within the country/region.
- Oversee the growth and development of the Site Operations organization.
- Ensure compliance with training and job functions of Site Care Partners (SCPs).
- Liaise with FSP Manager of Site Care Partner to oversee FSP SCP roles.
- Perform joint site visits to assess performance.
- Resolve site/country/region issues to maintain site start-up, quality, and investigator relationships.
- Establish direction and priorities across assigned regions.
- Contribute to country/site selection, study design, and site identification.
- Communicate feedback on site decisions to stakeholders.
- Demonstrate therapy area expertise.
- Ensure timely and quality site start-up and activation.
- Mitigate deficiencies in clinical trial conduct to improve quality and safety.
- Identify and enable sites with virtual monitoring capabilities.
- Share issues and trends with stakeholders.
- Drive resource management for portfolio delivery across regions.
Requirements
- Fluent in English; local language skills are a plus.
- BS/BSc/MS/MSc or equivalent with extensive clinical research experience, or PhD/MD with extensive experience.
- Minimum 10 years of clinical trial methodology knowledge.
- People management experience and ability to lead diverse teams.
- Adaptive risk management and continuous learning skills.
- Ability to lead in a matrix environment and influence stakeholders.
- Understanding of People Experience (PX) policies.
- Engagement with senior stakeholders.
- Effective collaboration with support functions like finance and PX.
- Resource management skills.
- Coaching and training skills for direct reports.
- Remote work in the US with travel availability.

- Base salary range: $176,600–$294,300.
