Director, Dealer Relations

The role is for a Director of Dealer Relations at automotiveMastermind, a data and technology provider for the automotive industry, focusing on account management, team leadership, and client relationship management within the California market.

Location: California, US

Salary: $150K–$165K/yr plus annual incentive and benefits

Responsibilities

• Manage account and revenue retention within the territory.
• Oversee product implementation and dealer training.
• Identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities.
• Manage KPIs including retention, revenue, and operational metrics.
• Lead and develop a team of 8-10 FTEs.
• Act as primary contact for dealer management teams.
• Manage overall client relationships and handle escalations.
• Communicate product functionality and propose additional services.
• Support company growth through referrals and networking.
• Lead presentations for clients and industry groups.
• Ensure employee engagement and deliver training.
• Build and maintain OEM/Dealer relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field, or relevant work experience.
• 8+ years in sales, marketing, or customer service in luxury automotive retail.
• Management experience leading field teams.
• Significant experience with CRM tools.
• Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to negotiate and solicit feedback.
• Ability to assess performance and adapt.
• Passionate, enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude.
