Data Governance & Platform Manager

LawnStarter is the nation's leading on-demand marketplace for lawn care and outdoor services, expanding into all home services across three brands on a shared platform. The company is seeking a dedicated Data Governance Platform Manager to ensure data trustworthiness.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $75k–$100k/yr

Responsibilities

• Data quality and freshness monitoring and incident resolution.
• Data lineage and impact analysis, including impact assessments for production changes.
• Administration and governance of Lightdash workspace, permissions, and rollout.
• Management of the semantic layer for metrics, extending definitions, and guarding against uncontrolled growth.
• Governance of event tracking, including review, standards, and drift detection.
• Governance of AI data access, documentation, and safety for AI tools.
• Data security and privacy, including access controls, PII handling, and compliance.
• Development and maintenance of the governance system, including documentation and review processes.

Requirements

• Genuine passion for making data systems trustworthy and tidy.
• Daily use of AI tools for automation, quality checks, and documentation.
• Hands-on senior operator with SQL, Airflow, and permissions experience.
• Automation-first mindset for recurring checks and processes.
• Ability to enforce standards with clear rules and good tooling.
