Chief Sales Officer (CSO)

The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) is responsible for leading the organization's global sales strategy, revenue generation, and business development initiatives. The CSO oversees sales operations, client acquisition, account management, and sales performance across all channels and markets.

Location: Suriname

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, customer segments, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Drive revenue generation through strategic sales planning and execution.
  • Lead customer acquisition and business development initiatives across target markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and sales channels to expand market reach.
  • Oversee sales operations, pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Establish sales KPIs, targets, and reporting frameworks.
  • Monitor conversion rates, sales productivity, and revenue performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams and regional sales leaders.
  • Build a results-oriented and customer-focused sales culture.
  • Drive training, coaching, and professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure exceptional customer engagement and account management practices.
  • Strengthen client retention and long-term relationship strategies.
  • Collaborate with customer success and service teams to improve customer experience.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities.
  • Use market insights to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Support product and marketing teams with customer feedback and market intelligence.
  • Partner with marketing, product, operations, finance, and customer success teams.
  • Ensure alignment between sales initiatives and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate on go-to-market strategies and revenue optimization initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of CRM systems, sales automation tools, and digital sales strategies.
  • Leverage analytics and technology to improve sales efficiency and scalability.
  • Explore innovative approaches to customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Provide regular sales performance reports and strategic insights to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Present forecasts, growth plans, and market opportunities.
  • Support strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 12–15+ years of experience in sales leadership, business development, or revenue management roles.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and leading high-performing sales organizations.
  • Strong experience in B2B sales, enterprise sales, or strategic account management.
