AI Transformation Owner, CRO

GitLab is seeking an AI Transformation Owner to lead the end-to-end AI agenda for its field organization, focusing on translating AI capabilities into enablement roadmaps, use cases, and organizational strategy. The role involves partnering with product and engineering teams to pilot and scale AI solutions, embed AI into workflows, and establish governance frameworks.

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $139,200—$235,200 USD

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the roadmap for AI-driven enablement initiatives.
• Identify, scope, and execute high-value AI use cases for the field.
• Build relationships with field champions to drive AI adoption.
• Design and drive operational plans to scale AI pilots into repeatable processes.
• Lead governance standards for AI tool adoption, including data usage, risk review, and policy alignment.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in enablement, sales operations, or a related GTM function, with end-to-end initiative ownership.
• Direct experience evaluating, piloting, or deploying AI tools or solutions in a business context, with technical understanding.
• Proven ability to work closely with product and engineering teams, translating needs into technical requirements.
• Self-sufficient with the ability to operate autonomously and structure ambiguous problems.
• Strong project management skills managing multiple workstreams.
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment with new technology.
• Familiarity with field or sales enablement motions and AI's role in augmenting them.
• Ability to work in an all-remote, asynchronous environment.
