Advanced Sales Specialist, GEDWorks

GED Testing Service (GEDTS) partners with employers, workforce and state agencies, and nonprofit organizations to help adult learners earn their credential and build talent pipelines through the GEDWorks program. The role involves driving program growth via prospecting, consultative sales, and strategic partnerships.
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Salary: $75,000–$110,000/yr
Responsibilities
- Own accountability for prospecting, qualifying, and building a high-quality sales pipeline for GEDWorks employer and workforce partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with employers, workforce boards, community-based organizations, corrections agencies, and other partners.
- Apply consultative sales practices to understand partner needs and position GEDWorks as a workforce solution.
- Serve as a GEDWorks subject-matter resource to the Pearson GEST sales team, communicating program value propositions, use cases, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal sales partners to uncover and advance multi-solution opportunities.
- Share market insights, customer feedback, and trends with leadership and teams.
- Collaborate closely with GEDWorks Account Managers for smooth handoff, onboarding, and renewal/expansion processes.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM, including leads, opportunities, activities, and forecasts.
- Partner with leadership to identify and pursue grant opportunities.
- Support marketing efforts for lead generation campaigns.
- Represent GEDWorks at conferences, employer briefings, and workforce events.
- Maintain knowledge of GEDWorks outcomes, learner impact metrics, and the competitive landscape.
Requirements
- 3-5 years minimum experience in business development, consultative sales, or partnership management, preferably in education, workforce development, or employer-funded programs.
- Proven ability to prospect, build pipelines, and manage opportunities from lead to close.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
