Accountant and Advisory Senior Lead

Responsibilities
- Managing a client portfolio from bookkeeping to year-end closing, including bank reconciliation, closing journal entries, P&L analysis, and supporting schedules.
- Creating timely and accurate accounting reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
- Detecting inaccuracies and investigating account discrepancies.
- Proposing recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures.
- Managing intercompany reconciliation.
- Participating in the consolidation process.
- Supervising team members in coordinating daily and weekly tasks and activities.
- Ensuring team adherence to processes and procedures.
- Focusing on operational efficiency and effective tax/accounting execution within the team.
- Training and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Recommending personnel management decisions for team members (e.g., promotions, performance evaluations).
- Leading or actively participating in structured team discussions, including strategic initiatives and process improvement.
- Identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency in client processes.
- Leading small projects within the team to implement new tools and methodologies.
- Acting as a key liaison between the team and management to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Requirements
- Completion of at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting within an accounting firm.
- Strong technical accounting skills, with expertise in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and P&L analysis.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, with the ability to produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Sharp analytical skills to detect inaccuracies and investigate account discrepancies.
- Problem-solving abilities to propose recommendations for optimizing accounting systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of intercompany reconciliation and managing transactions between entities.
- Experience in financial consolidation processes for accurate statement preparation.
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities to support and guide junior team members.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance and precision in all tasks.
- Proficiency in multitasking while maintaining high efficiency without compromising quality.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively articulate complex accounting matters.
