Sr Consultative Pharmacist

The Senior Consultative Pharmacist provides patient care through optimal medication therapy, advising on safe medication usage, designing care plans, and monitoring therapy. They handle complex issues, influence departmental strategy, and work independently with considerable latitude.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $115,200 - $158,400 per year

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, pharmacies, and providers to provide patient care in the form of optimal medication therapy.
• Advise on safe, accurate, and timely usage of medications.
• Design, implement, evaluate, and adjust medication care plans.
• Monitor medication therapy and make adjustments as needed.
• Work as the medication expert in proactive health campaigns to improve health outcomes.
• Begin to influence department’s strategy.
• Make decisions on complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components.
• Perform work without direct supervision, exercising latitude in objectives and approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state
• Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
• Problem-solving skills and ability to encourage collaborative problem solving
• Focused, accurate, and highly productive work ethic
• Proficient with computers

• While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
