Senior Site Reliability Engineer, DevEx

Chainlink is the industry-standard oracle platform powering decentralized finance (DeFi) and institutional tokenized assets, with a focus on data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy standards.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $90K - $125K

Responsibilities

• Design and build infrastructure primitives for CI/CD platform, build systems, and developer environments.
• Build and operate the Kubernetes-based control plane behind the CI/CD platform, including GitHub Actions self-hosted runner infrastructure, GitHub Apps, secure network access (Tailscale), GitOps deployment (Flux), and ephemeral/on-demand developer environments.
• Develop core infrastructure components such as Kubernetes Operators and scaling automation to reduce bespoke tooling and improve reliability and scalability.

Requirements

• 6–9+ years in SRE / Platform / Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proven experience scaling Kubernetes in high-throughput production environments.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise beyond operating clusters — internals, scheduler behavior, custom resources, and cluster-scale failure diagnosis.
• Experience building platform infrastructure, control planes, or Kubernetes Operators.
• Strong distributed systems and production reliability experience.
• Terraform/GitOps ownership — designing and owning automation.
• GitOps workflows (Flux / ArgoCD) experience.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms at scale: GitHub Actions, GitHub Apps, build systems.
• AWS/cloud infrastructure production experience.
• Proficiency in Go (strongly preferred) or another systems language.
• Track record of building infrastructure primitives rather than primarily performing support/operations.
