Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 10+ software engineers across multiple PODs, including Senior Engineers, Tech Leads, and QA Engineers.
- Champion a growth mindset culture through coaching, psychological safety, continuous learning, and experimentation.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and accountability.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract and hire top-tier engineering talent.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
- Identify, prioritize, and manage demands across PODs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery across all phases of SDLC, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Deliver initiatives on time and within scope, providing project updates to leadership.
- Model and reinforce best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
- Drive CI/CD maturity, release discipline, and operational excellence.
- Participate in architectural decisions for microservices, event-driven systems, and distributed systems.
- Establish and track engineering and delivery metrics, using data for continuous improvement.
- Define, implement, and refine engineering metrics, including DORA metrics.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate closely with product owners.
- Champion AI-first engineering strategy, evaluating and adopting AI-powered tools.
- Stay current on AI landscape and shape the organization's AI roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years in engineering leadership managing multiple teams.
- Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of AI tools and capabilities.
- Proven experience leading development on a high-transaction SaaS platform.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architecture.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud development.
- Strong command of API design principles, REST, GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience with modern languages (Java, Python, Node.js, Go, .NET).
- Experience with agile methodologies and modern software delivery.
- Experience working in regulated environments with compliance and audit requirements.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Healthcare technology experience, especially with EHR/EMR integrations, is a plus.
