Senior Director, Pharmacovigilance at ICON, responsible for supporting strategy and growth within the post-marketing team, providing operational leadership, and ensuring regulatory compliance in pharmacovigilance.

Responsibilities
- Direct pharmacovigilance and drug safety activities, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
- Expand and enhance current services with a focus on innovation and introducing fresh perspectives.
- Build strong client relationships to drive customer satisfaction, maintain high quality standards, and resolve quality issues.
- Drive efficiency and productivity to maximize revenue and optimize costs, support new business development, and manage change orders.
- Develop and implement comprehensive pharmacovigilance strategies aligned with ICON's goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage pharmacovigilance teams for effective safety monitoring, reporting, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for safety assessments and risk management.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging practices.
- Provide strategic leadership to enhance product safety and support business objectives.
- Partner with Business Development and other teams to ensure growth of the service area.
- Partner with clients to understand their needs and devise solutions.
- Serve as project director for projects and programs.
- Lead and present at meetings and conferences.
- Plan and manage resources proactively to maximize client satisfaction within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline or healthcare-related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in pharmacovigilance, managing safety operations and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership experience in managing teams and influencing cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of post-marketing pharmacovigilance regulations, safety reporting, and risk management.
- Knowledge of financial drivers and ability to collaborate with stakeholders for project delivery.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 15%.
- Must be based in the Western United States.
