Remote Property Management Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Property Management Bookkeeper (AppFolio) to support the financial and administrative operations of our property management team. This role manages Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, performs bank reconciliations, maintains accurate financial records, and prepares financial reports. The candidate will update tenant accounts and lease information in AppFolio, process tenant payments and invoices, and coordinate with property managers and vendors.

Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting documentation.
- Conduct accurate data entry and maintain organized financial records.
- Answer and handle tenant calls, providing timely assistance and support.
- Update tenant accounts, payments, and lease records in AppFolio.
- Process and track tenant payments, invoices, and balances.
- Coordinate with property managers and vendors on billing and payments.
- Perform other tasks related to the position.
Requirements
- Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
- Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills with excellent customer service approach.
- Experience utilizing AppFolio for property management operations.
- Bookkeeping knowledge and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial balances.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Out-of-the-box thinker with a reliable, self-motivated, and confident approach, demonstrating a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.
- Sound judgment and the capacity to comprehend and execute instructions promptly with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (New York time) business hours.
- Interested in long-term career opportunities.
- Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
