Health Writer

A content manager and digital media specialist responsible for managing a high-volume news and content website, producing articles, videos, and photo assets, and developing content strategies in Malaysia.

Location: Malaysia

Responsibilities

• Write at least 3-4 articles per day
• Maintain a Wordpress website operating as a newsroom, overseeing publishing of written content and videos
• Support and participate in planning and production of video and photo assets based on local market needs
• Maintain high industry awareness regarding competitors and content quality
• Source and direct local talent (vloggers and bloggers) and link building initiatives
• Identify local content opportunities and trends for real-time content creation
• Implement, evaluate, and grow the Malaysia content strategy to meet targets and KPIs
• Ensure the tone of voice and content quality meet brand standards

Requirements

• Native Malaysian
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
• Basic understanding of Chinese characters/writings
• Degree in Journalism, Media, or Communications
• 2-3 years of experience in writing and editing health/medical articles in English
• Previous experience managing a department or hub
• Background in digital media and lifestyle content
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and Adwords (advantage)
• Inbound marketing expertise including content marketing and SEO
