Global Business Unit Coordinator

The role involves supporting business strategy implementation for customer accounts, managing customer relationships, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. It is suitable for individuals aiming to develop into Business Unit Managers within 2-3 years.

Location: Mexico

Responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships related to new product introduction, product line, transferring business, and materials management.
• Prepare materials for Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
• Prepare commercial claims (e.g., excess and obsolete materials).
• Contribute to the forecast & variance process in the company's financial system.
• Assist Business Unit Managers in daily business needs and workcell management.
• Support Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide indirect leadership to junior team members.

Requirements

• Potential for developing leadership skills with ability to move into a higher level role, i.e., Business Unit Manager.
• Solid project management skills.
• Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
• Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements and devising strategies.
• Strong financial and analytical ability, including managing business analytics.
• Knowledge of international taxes and global customs regimes.
• Proven track record of successful change management and cost reduction programs.
• Strong and convincing communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email.

Additional Information

• Willingness to begin study in an MBA or equivalent degree program within 2-3 years is preferred.
• This position is part of a succession plan to become a Business Unit Manager.
