Freelance 3D Architectural Modeller UK Hours

A freelance role for a detail-oriented 3D architectural modeller experienced in 3ds Max, working on diverse projects including exteriors, interiors, landscapes, and furniture, with the ability to interpret various source materials.

Location: Remote, UK

Responsibilities

• Analyse project briefs and organize information, flag issues or inconsistencies.
• Formulate a modelling plan with time estimations and output details.
• Read architectural plans accurately and export models as needed.
• Model architecture, interiors, furniture, and site context in 3ds Max from varied sources.
• Prepare scenes for handover to visualisation artists: clean topology, logical naming, correct real-world scale, organised layers.
• Build vegetation and repeating-element setups using Forest Pack and RailClone.
• Ensure compatibility with a Corona render workflow.
• Manage workload against deadlines and flag issues early.
• Review final models with the team and update details.

Requirements

• Advanced AutoCAD and 3ds Max proficiency.
• Ability to read architectural, construction, and detailed plans accurately.
• Diligently check work for reliable and accurate models.
• At least 3–5 years of professional 3D architectural modelling experience.
• Working experience with Forest Pack and RailClone.
• Familiarity with Corona workflows (proxies, scene setup).
• Availability overlapping UK business hours.
• Professional-level proficiency in English.
