Exuma Operator

The Operator position is for individuals with significant experience or technical education in water treatment, responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining water treatment plants, including troubleshooting and process adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operations and take full responsibility during shifts.
• Start and stop equipment as directed.
• Make process adjustments as necessary.
• Record plant data and report as required.
• Observe equipment and process for safety and correctness.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
• Replace consumables and chemicals.
• Participate in environmental health and safety training.
• Perform manual labor for plant maintenance and upkeep.
• Engage in preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Keep track of inventory and report shortages.
• Maintain positive attitude and customer service orientation.

Requirements

• Significant related experience or technical education in water treatment or related fields.
• Ability to understand mechanical and electrical systems at the plant.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, standing, crawling, and working on ladders.
• Neatness, good hygiene, and proper safety gear.
• Clear criminal background.
• Availability for varied shifts, including night shifts and emergency callouts.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Promptness, punctuality, and reliability.
• Professional behavior and adherence to safety policies.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 2-3 years of experience in reverse osmosis or related fields.
• Experience in electrical, piping, or mechanical disciplines preferred.
