English Instructor (Ft) Remote - Mt

Vanguard College Prep is seeking full-time educators to teach and inspire students in English, focusing on long-term understanding and college readiness exams (ACT & SAT). The role emphasizes personalized instruction, curriculum development, and mentoring students through a comprehensive, individualized approach.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $20 – $24 / hour

Responsibilities

• Teach and inspire students in English to promote understanding and top scores in college readiness exams.
• Track students’ progress through Vanguard’s curriculum, engaging in individualized growth opportunities.
• Manage and update student lesson schedules, hold students accountable, and communicate professionally and timely.
• Innovate by developing and executing creative lesson plans and curriculum.
• Mentor middle and high school students with empathy, guiding them through the college application process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities field from US Schools (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.). (Master’s or higher preferred)
• Teaching experience in English and/or experience working in a college-level Writing Center (1+ years)
• Demonstrated academic excellence (3.5+ GPA)
• Strong verbal skills and mastery of the English language
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites
• Access to reliable internet and a quiet workspace
• Availability during specified hours: Tuesdays to Thursdays 1:30 pm - 9:30 pm CST, Saturdays and Sundays 9:30 am - 5:30 pm CST
