Accountable is a support platform for substance use recovery and sobriety, providing virtual coaching, monitoring, and community support. The company is expanding its referral network and is seeking a seasoned business development leader to manage national outreach and demand generation.
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: $140,000–$180,000 + bonus + equity
Responsibilities
- Take over and optimize the national referral demand strategy, including territory design, outreach, and partnerships.
- Hire, coach, and manage field outreach managers and coordinators.
- Finalize and implement the territory model, including hub cities and catchment areas.
- Open and develop relationships with multi-site accounts and referral sources.
- Build and iterate the go-to-market playbook for different payer segments.
- Partner with clinical operations and billing to ensure smooth referral-to-enrollment workflows.
- Report on referral and enrollment metrics across territories and payers.
- Recommend and plan market expansion based on data and performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of business development experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or healthcare services.
- 5+ years leading a national or multi-region field outreach organization, managing managers.
- Proven experience with a documented playbook for territory design, ramping, and CRM architecture.
- Experience with referral or demand generation for services paid across various payer types, including cash pay.
- Experience opening new markets and managing demand generation metrics such as CAC and conversion rates.
- Fluency in Medicare, ACOs, and the SUD treatment continuum.
- Disciplined CRM and reporting skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and families.
- Valid driver's license and willingness for field travel.
