Ollie is a company dedicated to improving the lives of pets and pet parents by making human-grade pet food tailored for each dog's nutritional needs and delivering directly to customers. The company values a caring culture and is seeking a Data Analyst to join their team, focusing on building subscription retention and member loyalty.
Location: Remote (US East Coast)
Responsibilities
- Drive a data-driven approach to optimizing the Ollie member experience through exploratory analytical projects, hypothesis evaluation, and thoughtful test design.
- Support the cross-functional team as the go-to data resource through ad hoc analysis, metric definition, sharing analyses, and contributing new ideas.
- Help build and maintain analytical excellence at Ollie by enhancing processes and advocating for data-driven innovation in the member experience.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, growth analytics, lifecycle analytics, retention analytics, or related fields, preferably in subscription retention for a high-growth consumer business.
- Deep empathy for dogs and dog parents, and curiosity about user problems.
- Technical skills including SQL, Excel, and applied statistics such as test design, measurement, multivariate analysis, and modeling.
- Experience sourcing and integrating data from various platforms like web analytics tools, curated reporting tools, and production databases (Segment, GA, MixPanel, Looker, Snowflake).
- Ability to break down complex analytical problems into manageable components.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical analysis into clear, actionable insights.
- Knowledge of retention, churn, reactivation, cohort analysis, lifecycle performance, and customer behavior in subscription or recurring-revenue businesses.
