Senior Consultant - LIS Systems

The Senior Consultant provides consulting services on Lab Information Systems (LIS) projects, including system builds, upgrades, troubleshooting, and client support, primarily for Nordic clients.

Location: Remote (US)

Responsibilities

• Applying technical expertise to client system builds to troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Serving as a subject matter expert in LIS domain areas
• Mentoring client project teams in project and system build strategy
• Tracking and documenting work and adhering to reporting expectations
• Working with project leadership on documentation and issue resolution
• Analyzing workflows and providing optimization suggestions
• Leading meetings on project status and work coordination
• Supporting, configuring, upgrading, maintaining, and implementing LIS applications
• Engaging in evaluation and testing of new technologies with emphasis on interoperability
• Troubleshooting technical and functional issues with client IT teams and vendors
• Ensuring system changes follow change management procedures and protocols
• Creating and maintaining documentation for applications and testing
• Identifying opportunities for IT improvements to drive client value
• Maintaining communication with project teams, end-users, and vendors
• Representing the company at corporate functions and client meetings
• Assisting with business operations projects and corporate initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent healthcare and technical experience
• 3+ years of practical build and implementation experience within at least one LIS solution (SCC Soft, Sunquest, WellSky, Orchard, Apex, etc.)
• Experience with domain validation, package testing, application break/fix resolution, and system change design/build/testing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with multitasking ability
• Self-starter capable of maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines
• Adaptable to new environments, teams, policies, and project locations
• Mentoring and guiding others
• Ability to stay ahead of rapidly changing technologies and interface system components
