Assistant Controller

Responsibilities
- Manage and support the organization’s accounting operations across multiple entities.
- Lead and execute monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of expense and compensation accruals.
- Streamline department expense reporting post month-end close.
- Maintain expertise in revenue recognition and related accounting treatments.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Data teams to understand and validate revenue data.
- Enhance internal reporting related to cash and headcount/compensation metrics.
- Perform bank, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate variances.
- Administer and improve internal controls, policies, and audit procedures.
- Streamline accounts payable processes and drive automation.
- Partner with external accountants, auditors, and consultants during audits and filings.
- Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members and cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a private or multi-entity organization.
- Senior-level expertise in accounting or finance disciplines.
- Experience managing complex close processes, audits, and GAAP reporting.
- Leadership experience in guiding projects and developing junior team members.
- Experience with multiple subsidiaries, bank accounts, and international considerations.
