Responsibilities
- Identify, contact, and gain approval for new mortgage brokers and sellers.
- Establish and maintain broker/seller relationships to ensure a steady flow of loan applications and purchases.
- Advise brokers/sellers on company programs, pricing, submission policies, and procedures.
- Assist brokers/sellers in loan submission process.
- Train brokers/sellers on online systems for loan submissions, underwriting, rate sheets, and loan lock procedures.
- Act as liaison with outside broker, internal broker coordinator, processor, underwriting, and closing to ensure timely loan closings.
- Ensure compliance deadlines are met for pre-disclosures, approval letters, and denial notices.
- Maintain and update contacts in the CRM system.
- Maintain customer confidential information according to policies and laws.
- Liaise with Sellers, internal coordinator, relationship manager, underwriting, and funding to ensure timely purchase of loans.
- Manage loan pipeline to meet departmental goals.
- Provide high-level customer service to brokers/sellers during the loan process.
Requirements
- Demonstrated sales performance with broker/seller relationship development and maintenance.
- Proven ability to set and reach sales goals.
- Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations.
- Knowledge of FHA, FNMA, FHLMC, VA, USDA, and non-agency loan products.
- Knowledge of purchase transactions.
- Knowledge of Carrington policies, procedures, guidelines, and organization structure.
- Knowledge of Carrington’s underwriting guidelines and investor requirements.
- Ability to learn quickly and retain information about Carrington, its sales process, products, and the lending industry.
- Ability to understand complex problems and collaborate on solutions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–5 years of experience as a wholesale and/or correspondent account executive with multiple brokers, investors, and loan products.
- Previous experience selling agency and non-agency loan products.
- Previous experience as a sales representative, preferably in the mortgage industry.
