Solutions Engineer

Cisco is seeking a highly technical Solutions Engineer (SE) specialized in Splunk to serve as a domain expert, lead technical sales, design complex solutions, and influence product development. The role involves mentoring, customer engagement, and strategic technical decision-making.

Location: Multiple locations including Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Dallas, TX, Kansas

Salary: $235,300.00 to $301,700.00 (U.S. and Canada), additional location-specific ranges available

Responsibilities

• Own and win the technical decision, lead breakdown sessions, proofs-of-value.
• Serve as the go-to authority, articulating vision, strategy, and technical details.
• Architect and validate complex, high-reaching solutions for customers.
• Partner with Cisco ecosystem and Account Managers to provide domain expertise.
• Mentor and enable the broader SE community, develop protocols.
• Influence product direction through real-world insights.

Requirements

• 5+ years in pre-sales engineering or similar deep technical role.
• 5+ years of broad and deep technical knowledge in Security, observability, event, or network management.
