CDI Quality Analyst

The CDI Quality Analyst is responsible for internal audits of CDI processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting CDI staff with clinical and coding issues. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance and quality standards in healthcare documentation.

Salary: $73,278.40–$100,776.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Perform audit functions to assess the CDI performance, identify knowledge gaps and assure compliance with all industry standards and departmental policies.
• Oversee the auditing program to ensure accurate and compliant query practices.
• Support coworkers as they work to meet CDI quality standards.
• Analyze findings from reviews to identify trends that do not align with established policies and procedures and shares finding with CDI Education team for growth and development.
• Act as a resource for the CDI staff on clinical and coding issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Healthcare related field
• 3 years Direct CDI Experience
• CDI Certification - Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS) - Required within 180 Days
• Approachable and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively with providers and multidisciplinary teams
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; comfortable using Excel for CDI audits, tracking, and documentation
• Ability to independently research and apply CDI-related clinical guidelines, with a strong interest in continuous learning and education
