Software Engineer II (India, Remote)

Apollo.io is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to work on scalable backend endpoints, collaborate across teams, and improve system quality and performance. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale applications in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Location: Remote (Global)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly scalable backend endpoints
• Gather product requirements and write design docs to satisfy product needs
• Drive/Lead full lifecycle of software development: product requirements, architecture, solution design, development, quality assurance, and maintenance
• Mentor others on best practices and effectively share knowledge
• Effectively communicate development progress to stakeholders
• Introduce new technologies and ideas as required
• Work effectively as part of a large global team
• Attend and engage in scrum ceremonies and team activities
• Provide feedback to co-workers and respond to feedback

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in backend development, with 1-2 years in senior roles
• Experience developing distributed web applications
• Code is comprehensible, well-structured, and highly performant
• Experience with database modeling (SQL or NoSQL)
• Experience with designing RESTful services
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering from Tier 1 institutes
