Site Reliability Engineer (All Genders)

Location: Germany

Responsibilities

  • Operate and improve Kubernetes clusters across multiple clouds and on-premise environments ensuring they are reliable, secure, and cost-efficient.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, SaltStack) for managing over 100 customer instances with layered configurations.
  • Design and maintain observability systems (Monitoring, Alerting, SLOs) to detect and resolve production issues early.
  • Manage secrets, automate certificates, and develop security tooling across the platform.
  • Reduce operational effort through automation, tooling, and solid runbooks.
  • Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with development squads and the operations team to improve overall platform reliability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating production workloads on Kubernetes in cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with Linux administration, networking, and distributed systems.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, or Chef.
  • Experience with container and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) in production.
  • Understanding of monitoring and observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Effective communication skills in asynchronous, remote-first environments.
  • Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and openness to using AI tools in daily work.
  • Verifiable English language skills at C1 level.
