The Senior Project Manager oversees clinical study projects, ensuring quality, scope, cost, and timeline objectives are met, with responsibilities including client communication, project planning, risk management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point-of-contact and escalation point to the client
  • Coordinate and oversee all functional services including external vendors to the established timeline and budget
  • Manage the study budget, ensuring project remains within scope and handling out of scope activities
  • Maintain collaboration with clinical operations and participate in clinical activities as appropriate
  • Manage financial health of studies, including profitability, billable hours, and billing accuracy
  • Develop comprehensive project plans with timelines and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure quality management including eTMF inspection readiness and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with functional operations and review study documentation
  • Establish tracking metrics for trial and team progress
  • Prepare and report project status updates to clients and senior management
  • Lead internal and client meetings, set project expectations
  • Communicate study issues and deviations, implement corrective actions
  • Conduct formal presentations to various audiences
  • Implement study-specific training and ensure compliance
  • Support business development and marketing activities
  • Perform administrative duties including training, time-reporting, and feedback
  • Remain compliant with organizational policies

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of clinical research experience and 4 years of project management experience
  • Experience managing complex and global trials
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, eTMF, EDC, and CTMS
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, customer service demeanor
