Senior Product Manager - Vertical (Industry Expert)

Be the voice of the customer for an entire industry at Zeitview. You will be the resident expert for a target vertical such as solar, wind, electric utilities, oil & gas, or commercial properties. Your role involves understanding customer needs, running discovery, building relationships, synthesizing market signals, and translating insights into product requirements. You will also analyze competition and define success metrics, with a focus on growth and expansion strategies.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 USD + bonus + stock options

Responsibilities

• Define success metrics for your vertical related to revenue, retention, and customer outcomes.
• Embed with 3–5 strategic accounts to understand their workflows, pain points, and decision-making.
• Conduct structured discovery through interviews, operational ride-alongs, competitive analysis, and data synthesis.
• Negotiate with platform PMs over engineering capacity, advocating for your vertical's priorities.
• Write clear, specific requirements for engineering teams.
• Build internal credibility as an industry expert.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a science, technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years in product management, solutions consulting, technical sales, or a customer-facing role in enterprise software.
• Deep domain expertise in at least one: solar energy, wind energy, commercial properties, electric utilities, oil & gas.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with enterprise customers and translate those into product insights.
• Experience in structured discovery and synthesizing inputs into actionable problem sets.
• Commercial acumen related to pipeline, deal size, retention, and competitive positioning.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with executives and translating insights into product briefs.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
