Senior Industry Technical Consultant

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a Sr. Industry Technical Consultant for the Paper Division. The role involves implementing new technology, troubleshooting, training, and supporting sales in the paper industry, with a focus on delivering technical solutions that add business value.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $157,900–$236,900/year

Responsibilities

• Assist sales representatives and account managers in technical sales calls and presentations within the paper industry.
• Research, identify, and define market and product application opportunities.
• Develop plans to capture sales opportunities.
• Conduct on-site audits to assess and solve customer problems.
• Provide on-the-job product and sales training.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to identify new applications and training needs.
• Coach team members on processes, applications, technologies, and value documentation.
• Build organizational capability through training and standardization.
• Work closely with sales, R&D, engineering, and marketing to align solutions with customer needs and business strategy.
• Create structured, decision-oriented outputs such as gap analyses, trial plans, and business cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in technical implementation, process engineering, or technical sales.
• Proficiency with MS Office and digital applications.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• No immigration sponsorship offered.
