Senior DevOps Engineer II

Akamai is seeking a Senior II DevOps Engineer to develop and maintain cloud infrastructures and web applications, focusing on FedRAMP standards, within the Zero Trust Security Group. The role involves working on enterprise security products and network security projects.

Salary: $112,500–$202,500/yr

Responsibilities

• Developing, configuring, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring seamless and reliable software delivery
• Monitoring CI/CD pipeline performance, identify and resolve issues, and optimize pipelines for speed and reliability
• Working closely with engineering teams to design and shape the product deployment
• Documenting CI/CD processes, pipeline configurations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain clear operational guidelines
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in CI/CD and DevOps, and implementing improvements to enhance pipeline efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field
• Experience working on Linux based infrastructure, Bash/Python or other scripting languages used in DevOps
• Hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and understanding of APIs and microservices architectures
• Understanding of CI/CD and experience in GitOps with Argo CD, Jenkins, or similar tools
• Experience with VMware, data stacks, compliance (FIPS/FedRAMP), and AI/MLOps or AIOps exposure
• Experience with CSP like AWS, GCP, or Azure and Terraform and IaC practices
• Eligibility to obtain Secret Security Clearance
