Senior Data Scientist - Flex

The role involves leading data science development for web security products, focusing on models and agents to analyze and detect security threats, within a multidisciplinary team at Akamai.

Location: Israel

Responsibilities

• Leading and collaborating on end-to-end projects from concept to deployment
• Developing prototypes of statistical/machine learning algorithms and evaluating metrics
• Developing agentic systems to enhance detections and research
• Guiding engineering implementations of autonomous security agents
• Working with security researchers to incorporate expertise into models
• Integrating security research into the product
• Innovating in web security research and data science
• Providing data science expertise to the security research group

Requirements

• BS.C degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience in Data Science
• Knowledge in data science tools (pandas, PySpark, etc.)
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (sparkML, sklearn, PyTorch, etc)
• Experience deploying and maintaining ML and AI systems in production
• Building evaluation pipelines for models
• Experience with cloud notebook environments
• Good communication skills in English
