Senior Data Engineer

Lodgify is a fast-growing scale-up company in the vacation rental industry, headquartered in Barcelona, with a diverse team of over 380 people from more than 60 nationalities. They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and manage their modern data platform, enabling data-driven decisions across the company.

Location: Remote (Spain)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure using core data stack
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and contribute to data governance practices
• Develop and optimise data models using dbt for analytics and operational use cases
• Troubleshoot data issues and assist with tracking implementation problems
• Ensure data infrastructure supports downstream consumers, including analytics and AI/ML initiatives
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders for data accessibility and visualization (Hightouch)
• Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of the data platform
• Mentor team members and promote data engineering best practices

Requirements

• 7+ years in data engineering with hands-on experience using modern data stack tools
• Advanced SQL, proficient Python, strong data modeling and warehousing fundamentals
• Experience with orchestration tools like mage.ai, Airflow, dbt, ELT solutions like Fivetran, Airbyte
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Proven ability to build and maintain reliable, end-to-end data pipelines in production
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
