Senior Commodity Leader

Lead implementation of critical procurement strategies for fluid commodity, driving capacity initiatives to mitigate risk, optimize cost, and improve procurement processes. Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to align commercial decisions with operational needs and business strategy.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $149,400–$248,900/yr

Responsibilities

• Lead the procurement activities for assigned projects, including implementing supplier and commodity strategies.
• Manage qualified suppliers for specific business and project requirements.
• Lead negotiations to secure optimal commercial terms.
• Ensure suppliers meet project requirements and secure internal alignment.
• Partner with sourcing, engineering, operations, quality, and project teams.
• Monitor project performance and drive corrective actions.
• Identify, lead, and support process improvement initiatives.
• Analyze data, market trends, and supplier performance.
• Communicate and resolve complex issues, build consensus.
• Act as a resource and mentor for colleagues.
• Apply sound judgment to solve complex issues.
• Support critical projects and strategic procurement priorities.

Requirements

• 10 years minimum experience in Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, Commodity Management, and Supply Chain Management.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (>25%).
• Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor/Master's degree from an accredited university or college.
