Senior Actuarial Associate (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote)

This position is a key member of the Annuity Modeling team at Brighthouse Financial, responsible for developing and testing Prophet models for annuity products, with opportunities for project work affecting broader department initiatives.

Location: North Carolina

Salary: $100,000–$125,000/yr plus performance incentives

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and timelines for the FA & FIA Prophet model, including creating, updating, and validating the model.
• Analyze model results, communicate findings to management, and document processes.
• Implement and test new software releases, updates, and regulatory requirements in the Prophet environment.
• Optimize models for performance and coding standards.
• Evaluate new features and modeling approaches.
• Stage model inputs using Data Conversion Systems and Assumption Manager.

Requirements

• ASA or near ASA preferred, not required.
• Currently pursuing ASA or FSA designation with the Society of Actuaries.
• Strong computing and programming skills.
• Strong actuarial and financial skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to adjust work resources and deadlines in response to changing priorities.
