Satellite Imagery QA Analyst

This is a QA Technician position with 0-2 years of experience, focusing on geospatial analysis and data quality assurance for remote sensing imagery to support AI/ML models. The role involves analyzing optical, SAR, and hyperspectral imagery, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Location: Houston, TX, USA

Salary: $41k–$83k

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze remote sensing imagery for quality assurance.
• Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in imagery data.
• Work with AI/ML teams to ensure data quality meets model requirements.
• Follow standard procedures for image processing and validation.
• Document findings and communicate any issues clearly.

Requirements

• STEM degree (e.g., Remote Sensing, GIS, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science)
• Experience with AI/ML data annotation or image labeling (nice-to-have)
• Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) or remote sensing software (nice-to-have)
• Knowledge of SAR and hyperspectral imagery (nice-to-have)
• Attention to detail – Ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy
• Technical background – Experience with remote sensing, GIS, or geospatial analysis
• Problem-solving skills – Ability to identify and fix data inconsistencies
• Ability to work independently and follow structured workflows

Additional Information

• Position is a 3-month full-time contract with the possibility of extension.
• Requires some overlap with Houston, TX time zone for communication.
