Hopelab is seeking a Policy Intern to support their policy agenda focused on youth mental health, equity, and policy advocacy at the state and federal levels. The internship offers flexible, remote work and involves research, policy analysis, and content creation.
Location: Remote (US)
Salary: $33.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Tracking and analysis of youth mental health legislation and regulations at both the state and federal levels
- Providing research assistance for youth mental health-related policy concepts
- Creating information briefs on relevant policy topics
- Supporting educational briefings on youth mental health policy topics
- Working with the Policy Director and colleagues on developing content for the Hopelab Policy webpage
Requirements
- Completed coursework in public policy, health policy, or research methods
- Familiarity with state and federal legislative processes
- Experience translating policy into public products is preferred
- Basic familiarity with the U.S. health system, including mental health
- Strong research and writing skills
- Effective communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Experience working with policymakers and/or policy advocates on health policy issues is a plus

Additional Information
- Part-time internship (~20 hours/week), flexible hours, starting July 2026 for 5 months
- Compensation: $33/hr
