The People Operations role at Nabis is a hands-on position at the intersection of recruiting, training & engagement, and cross-functional projects. It involves partnering with department leaders, building training programs, and driving People initiatives to support a fast-growing cannabis wholesale platform.
Location: CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, NJ, NV, NY, TN, TX, UT, VA, or WA
Salary: $85,000–$90,000/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage training and employee development, including monitoring mandatory training, building new content, and improving onboarding for on-site and remote employees.
- Drive employee engagement through existing programs and develop new initiatives to improve engagement scores.
- Own cross-functional People projects, including updating referral programs, DEI initiatives, onboarding decks, and interview training.
- Standardize onboarding experience for all new employees, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Ensure a respectful and consistent offboarding process, including system access removal, asset collection, and exit interviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years in People Operations, HR, or Recruiting, supporting both hourly and salaried workforces.
- Comfort with HR systems, including ATS and LMS, with ability to generate reports and build workflows.
- Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Clear and direct communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Genuine passion for people and operational processes.
- Data-driven mindset, able to track, report, and use data for decision-making.
