Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer

Seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud engineer to design, build, secure, and optimize OCI Platform solutions, working as part of a team to drive cloud innovation for a leading aerospace and defense company.

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $132,400–$251,600/yr

Responsibilities

• Design and develop core OCI landing zone automation to support scalable, secure, and compliant cloud environments.
• Implement centralized landing zone management using OCI-native services such as Cloud Guard, Logging, Audit, and Identity domains.
• Build and maintain OCI infrastructure using Terraform, Oracle Cloud CLI, Ansible, and API integrations.
• Drive automation for self-service provisioning and management across traditional IaaS workloads and modern serverless applications.
• Design, implement, and automate OCI networking architectures including VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, and gateways.
• Develop automated guardrails to enforce security and configuration standards across OCI environments.
• Implement least privilege access controls using OCI IAM policies, dynamic groups, and compartment hierarchies.
• Integrate OCI with enterprise identity systems such as Active Directory or LDAP.
• Ensure OCI services comply with security policies and standards such as NIST 800-53 and CMMC.
• Integrate OCI with enterprise networks and core IT services.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, document procedures, and recommend architectural improvements.

Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with minimum 7 years experience or 14 years relevant experience without a degree.
• Demonstrated OCI engineering, DevOps practices, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform, Python, Ansible, Bash.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate across teams.
